Kingswood School Cranbrook Rug for Reception Room I

Designer (Swedish, 1873-1952)
Workshop (American, 1928-1942)
1931

The linear blue pattern reflects the design on the windows and the painted blue trim along the built-in-seat and on the woodwork in the Kingswood School Cranbrook Reception Room I. By 1952, the rug was used in the hallway area on the Kingswood School Cranbrook fourth floor (the former Dance Room, colloquially known as Heaven).
