Cultural Properties Collection, Thornlea consists of objects that are part of the built environment or were acquired, created, collected, or commissioned by Henry Scripps Booth or Carolyn Farr Booth, or their parents or children, for purposes of use or exhibit within or on the grounds of the couple’s residence, Thornlea, including Thornlea Studio (1938). This collection also includes the personal effects of Henry and Carolyn Booth and their immediate family, including, but not limited to, surviving clothing, jewelry, and accessories with an emphasis on the years from the Booths’ marriage in 1924 to Henry Booth’s death in 1988.
